Shipping & Delivery Policy

All orders from Stronsay Forge are carefully packaged and dispatched from our workshop on the island of Stronsay, Orkney, Scotland.

UK Delivery

UK orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Postage is calculated at checkout based on your order.

Once dispatched, delivery is generally expected within 2–3 working days, although this is an estimate rather than a guarantee.

Tracking information will be provided in your dispatch confirmation email.

International Delivery

We offer international shipping to destinations where delivery is available and permitted.

International postage starts at £20, with the final shipping charge calculated at checkout.

Delivery times vary depending on the destination, customs processing and local postal services. International orders may take approximately two weeks or longer to arrive after dispatch.

Any applicable import duties, taxes or tariffs will be shown at checkout where supported. Additional charges may be payable to local authorities or delivery services.

Order Processing

Many of our products are individually handmade or made to order.

Estimated preparation and dispatch times are provided during checkout. These are separate from the delivery times quoted above.

Island Weather & Ferry Delays

Stronsay Forge is based on a remote Orkney island, and parcels must travel by ferry before reaching mainland Scotland.

Occasionally, rough seas and severe weather can interrupt ferry services. When crossings are cancelled, dispatches and deliveries may be delayed until services resume.

We appreciate your understanding when island weather affects the postal service.
