Hand-Forged Leaf Wall Hook – Rustic Iron Botanical Coat Hook

I forge each of these decorative leaf wall hooks individually by hand from solid steel at Stronsay Forge in Orkney.

The hook features a hand-forged leaf at the top, a flowing twisted stem with a bark-like texture, and a substantial curved hook ending in a small decorative scroll. Inspired by natural forms, it combines traditional blacksmithing with practical wall-mounted storage for cottages, rustic interiors and nature-inspired spaces.

Approximate dimensions:

• Overall height: 200mm (20cm)
• Hook curve diameter: 50mm (5cm)
• Two fixing holes, approximately 5mm diameter each

Each hook is heated, hammered and shaped individually rather than cast or mass-produced. The leaf is forged and textured by hand, while the stem is drawn out, twisted and shaped to give its natural, flowing appearance. The lower hook is finished with a decorative scroll.

A protective finish is applied to help prevent rust while retaining the dark, traditional appearance of forged steel. Suitable for coats, hats and bags in hallways, cloakrooms, cottages, cabins and traditional homes.

Care: Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged exposure to moisture. An occasional application of a suitable wax or oil may help maintain the protective finish.
